RFSC Learn2Skate Program

The Rochester Figure Skating Club has been a mainstay in the Rochester, Minnesota Community for more than 75 years. The Learn2Skate program is the foundation of our extensive instructional curriculum, sanctioned by US Figure Skating.

Our Learn2Skate and Learn2Skate for Hockey classes are welcoming and nurturing environments geared to share the fun and fundamentals of skating. All of our coaches are certified by the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and we utilize the U.S. Figure Skating Snowplow Sam and Basic Skills programs for our instruction.

Registration fees for figure skating classes include a U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Membership. This includes a test booklet, colorful badges for each level completed and of copy of US Figure Skating's Skating Magazine – Basic Skills Edition.

Follow the links in the menu bar above to find out more about our programs and staff. See the Classes page for our schedule and information on our figure skating and hockey programs.

Financial Assistance

RFSC provides some financial assistance for the group classes in our Learn2Skate program. See the Learn2Skate Financial Assistance page for details and application.

2025 RFSC Ice Show Dates

Friday through Sunday, April 25–27, 2025

See the Important Dates page and the additional resources here for more information.

See the Important Dates page and the additional resources here for more information.

Ice Show information for Learn2Skate group lesson skaters is available under the Learn2Skate Skaters menu.

Here we go. Rehearsals have started, props are being built, costumes are distributed (or on their way) and dozens of pictures taken and edited (ok, we’re working on them). Road Trip is less than a month away!

It's time for everyone to get involved. Production departments are in full swing and all of them could use a hand. Check the Volunteer Opportunities page and, well, volunteer for something.

April Updates

Our third and final major release of information is now available. Some of the information is in the packets you received at picture day. If you didn't get your packet, they are available in the RFSC office. Most of the new information centers around Show Week including schedules, where to go, what to do and how to get in. For convenience, the new information is bundled below and all articles are available in the menus above. Be sure to look over all of the information carefully.

Ok, one more thing before we get to the new information . . . don't forget you can order Show Tickets, Programs and Skater Meals for Tech Rehearsals in our Online Store. Tickets are also available at Eventbrite.
